About us

We are Andrew and Jennifer, our home country is Scotland and we sail SeaBird, a 36ft Catamaran.

SeaBird was built in Southampton to an exacting specification as the original owners were planning to travel round the world. Skipper Andrew has sailed since childhood and has wide and varied experience both cruising and racing. Crew Jennifer has been involved in the hospitality industry for many years and is also a competent crew.

We fell in love with the islands and the people after first sailing to Palmeira from Gran Canaria then sailing to exploring other islands within the archipelago.

We enjoy the untouched nature of the archipelago away from the tourist hotspots and the rush and tear of living in the UK and invite you to share our adventures.

Sal:
Sal:

Sal is the home of one of only two international airports within the archipelago.
Most visitors holiday here, Santa Maria in the south of the island, is the tourist destination of the major tour operators. Most tourists visit Sal for the sunshine and sand although there is much more to see and do such as water sports, dune buggy experiences, visit the Blue Eye and the salt pans.

Espargos is a pretty town and is the capital of Sal where you can experience the local unhurried way of life, visit the local morning markets, take time to explore and enjoy the local bars, cafes and restaurants.

The authentic and colourful fishing town of Palmeira is accessible from Espargos via taxi. Palmeira is where the adventure begins. Here visitors can embrace the Cape Verdean lifestyle and experience the local cuisine and culture. Palmeira has several small restaurants where guests can start their day with a hearty breakfast before embarking an our very own Seabird.
